The Company
was established in 1915 and has become well known throughout the industry.
It uses its ability to manufacture its own tooling to produce a comprehensive
product range.
The Company's tool room uses modern equipment to manufacture the required
tooling which includes a CAD computer system, a Daewoo Lynx CNC lathe,
an Agie Challenge EDM machine and a Bridgeport machine centre. More investment
is planned for the future in most areas of the Company. The use of new
tool steel and various coatings are used to help with the design of the
new tools.
The production equipment used to produce the Company's product range includes
power presses ranging from 5 to 50 ton, die presses ranging from 10 to
50 ton and hydraulic presses with light guards. It uses various set ups
to get the best results of its presses which include press overload systems,
pallet decoilers and electronic roll feeds.
The Wellman belt furnace for annealing is used when developing new product
designs and coping with the Company's own annealing requirements.
The Company is accredited with a Quality System to BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and
is updating its system in line with this international standard. Where
this is a requirement the Company can provide Advance Product Quality
Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for Customer
part approval.
With on time delivery a major requirement, the Company supplies various
customers with a Kanban and just in time systems.
The Company employs 45 employees and is continuing with its
policy of training employees to the correct standards and has been recently
approved by EMTA as a S/NVQ Assessment Centre for PMO (Performing Manufacturing
Operations).
